Joining The Dots In The Cloud

Every so often you come across a cloud application that is an incredibly useful idea built on a simple premise, and that is what cloudHQ is: an online utility that brings all your cloud data together.

If, like me, you still like to enjoy the unique benefits of different Cloud applications: Google Drive for the bulk of my data, OneDrive for my my more complicated Office files (I still haven't kicked the habit...), Box for online music composition etc...you'll be painfully aware that your data is adrift on the seven seas of the internet. Previously, I had relied on Mohiomap to keep track of my data, a powerful tool that creates a visual map of where your data is spread online, but I spent a lot of time tracking down a particular file.

Then I found cloudHQ, a service that enables the user to integrate and backup data from an impressive range of online services: Evernote, Box and Onedrive to name just three. For me, the perfect solution was to use Drive as a central repository for all my data but cloudHQ offers a range of synchronisation options for single users and teams.

cloudHQ offers a free account for the backup and sync of free cloud account and then a reasonably priced option for professionals with bigger requirements. However for a small enterprise with up to five users, the Business option is hard to beat.

But it doesn't stop there, the company offers some other neat applications:

This is a Chrome extension that amazingly allows you to find an individual's email address from their LinkedIn profile [YouTube Video]

I tried this myself and it works!

A Chrome extension that allows email and label sharing as well as real-time collaboration [YouTube Video]

Well worth trying.
